Figure 29 Volume Type and Capacity in LDEV Information Table 24 LDEV Information Details Item Volume Type Description Allows you to select the type of volume capacity information from the Volume Type list: • Total Volume: Information on all the volumes. • Internal Volume Only: Information on only the internal volumes. • External Volume Only: Information on only the external volumes. Capacity OPEN Volume Provides the capacities in MB when the Total Volume Capacity is 10 GB or less, and in GB when the Total Volume Capacity is more than 10 GB. The percentages (%) of the capacities relative to total capacity are shown in parentheses. When selected, shows the volume capacity information (capacity by volume type, pie chart, total capacity) on open-system volumes in the storage system. The information does not include the capacity of the V-VOL. When there is no open-system volume, No Volume appears. See Table 25 (page 64) for the capacity pie chart when OPEN Volume is selected. Mainframe Volume When selected, shows the volume capacity information (capacity by volume type, pie chart, total capacity) on zSeries, S/390 (mainframe), and multiplatform volumes in the storage system. The information shown does not include the capacity of the V-VOL. When there is no zSeries and S/390 volume, No Volume appears. See Table 26 (page 65) for the capacity pie chart when Mainframe Volume is selected. Table 25 Open Volume Capacity Pie Chart Item Description Allocated LDEV Capacity The capacity of open-system volumes (LDEVs) that have assigned paths and are available to the user. This capacity also includes all LDEVs that consist of LUSE volumes, but does not include control cylinders. This capacity is indicated in the pie chart by the blue area. Unallocated LDEV Capacity The capacity of open-system volumes (LDEVs) that do not have assigned paths and are available to the user. This capacity does not include control cylinders, reserved volumes of XP Auto LUN, journal volumes, pool volumes, system disks, or quorum disks.
