Using the IPSSEND command-line program The IPSSEND command-line program provides a number of functions. Some of these functions are useful as diagnostic or error-recovery tools. This manual addresses only these diagnostic and error-recovery functions. Descriptions of the other functions of the IPSSEND command-line program can be found in the documentation that shipped with the controller. When you run IPSSEND with no parameters, a list of available functions and their specific parameters appears. The available functions and their parameters are described in the sections that follow. To run the IPSSEND program with no parameters: • If you are using Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, or OS/2: 1. Type: c:\ipsadm\ipssend where c is the drive letter of the drive where Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, or OS/2 is installed. 2. Press Enter. • If you are using NetWare: 1. From the console, type: load ipssend 2. Press Enter. • If you are using Linux, OpenServer, or UnixWare: 1. Type: /usr/bin/ipssend 2. Press Enter. • If you are using DOS: 1. Insert the startable IPSSEND diskette into diskette drive A; then type: a:\ipssend where a is the drive letter of the diskette drive. 2. Press Enter. Server roll-out functions Server roll-out functions are for server roll-out and building systems only; these functions are not for restoring systems. Do not use these commands for servicing systems.
