Custom Button and Dial Custom Button and Dial You can assign to the CUSTOM button and dial one of several frequently used functions. You can then adjust the selected function using the CUSTOM button and dial, without having to access the menu. The functions that can be assigned to the CUSTOM button differ depending on whether the camcorder is in Infrared mode. Operating modes: [J Other Functions] 47 [Custom Key/Dial] 1 Open the [Custom Key/Dial] submenu. [J Other Functions] [Custom Key/Dial] 2 Select [Normal] or [Infrared] and then press SET. • [Normal] refers to when the camcorder is not in Infrared mode. 3 Select the desired option and then press SET. • If you selected [Normal], [IR Light] will not be an available option. If you selected [Infrared], [Iris(ND)] and [Face AF] will not be available options. Options [Iris(ND)]: Aperture adjustment (0 58). Press the CUSTOM button to toggle between manual and automatic aperture adjustment and turn the dial to adjust the aperture. [Face AF]: Face autofocus (0 51). Press the CUSTOM button to toggle between the [Face AF] settings ([Face Pri.], [Face Only], [Off]) and turn the dial to change the main subject. [IR Light]: Infrared light (0 93). If [l Camera Setup] [Infrared] [Light] is set to [Toggle], press the CUSTOM button to turn the infrared light on/off. [Headphone Volume]: Headphone volume (0 114). Turn the CUSTOM dial to adjust the headphone volume. [Tele-converter]: Digital tele-converter (0 146). Press the CUSTOM button to turn the digital tele-converter on/ off and turn the dial to select 1.5x, 3x or 6x. [Off]: Use this setting if you do not intend to use the CUSTOM button or dial. NOTES • To open the option menu, you can hold down the CUSTOM button for at least 2 seconds instead of the procedure above.
