xStack® DGS-3600 Series Layer 3 Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch Guest VLAN Settings To set a Guest 802.1X VLAN, the user must first configure a normal VLAN which can be enabled here for Guest VLAN status. To view this window, click Security > 802.1X > Guest VLAN Settings, as shown below: Figure 7- 26. Guest VLAN Settings window The following fields may be modified to enable the guest 802.1X VLAN: Parameter Description VLAN Name Operation Port List Enter the pre-configured VLAN name to create as a Guest 802.1X VLAN. The user has four choices in configuring the Guest 802.1X VLAN, which are: Enabled Ports - Selecting this option will enable ports listed in the Port List below, as part of the Guest VLAN. Be sure that these ports are configured for this VLAN or users will be prompted with an error message. Disabled Ports - Selecting this option will disable ports listed in the Port List below, as part of the Guest VLAN. Be sure that these ports are configured for this VLAN or users will be prompted with an error message. Add - Selecting this option will add the VLAN entered in the VLAN Name window above. Delete - Selecting this option will delete the VLAN entered in the VLAN Name window above. Enter the ports to be operational for the Gust VLAN. Checking the All box will select all ports to be enabled. Click Apply to implement the guest 802.1X VLAN settings entered. Only one VLAN may be assigned as the 802.1X Guest VLAN. Authentication RADIUS Server Settings The RADIUS feature of the Switch allows you to facilitate centralized user administration as well as providing protection against a sniffing, active hacker.
