www.dell.com | support.dell.com Information files and logs Three key types of files are saved to the system flash in order to record ongoing software events and status: Trace logs, Core dumps and Console output file. These types of files are saved to directories on the internal system flash. Trace logs provide information on the software on the RPM and line card status and events. Using the show command history command, you can also view all the commands entered by all users. Core dumps provides information regarding RPM and line card kernel and application events. Both the RPM and line cards have full and mini core dumps. A third reference file available is the console output file Figure 63-6 is an illustration of the trace file and core dump file organization, content, and file names. Figure 63-6.
