28 Layer 2 c e s Layer 2 features are supported on platforms The E-Series ExaScale platform is supported with FTOS 8.1.1.0 and later. This chapter describes the following Layer 2 features: • Managing the MAC Address Table • MAC Learning Limit • NIC Teaming • Microsoft Clustering • Configuring Redundant Pairs • Restricting Layer 2 Flooding • Far-end Failure Detection Managing the MAC Address Table FTOS provides the following management activities for the MAC address table: • Clear the MAC Address Table • Set the Aging Time for Dynamic Entries • Configure a Static MAC Address • Display the MAC Address Table • Fetch Dynamic MAC Entries using SNMP Clear the MAC Address Table You may clear the MAC address table of dynamic entries: Task Clear a MAC address table of dynamic entries. • address deletes the specified entry • all deletes all dynamic entries • interface deletes all entries for the specified interface • vlan deletes all entries for the specified VLAN Command Syntax clear mac-address-table dynamic {address | all | interface | vlan} Command Mode EXEC Privilege Layer 2 | 545
