track interface line-protocol c e s Configure object tracking on the line-protocol state of a Layer 2 interface. Syntax track object-id interface interface line-protocol To return to the default setting, enter no track object-id. Parameters object-id interface Enter the ID number of the tracked object. Range: 1 to 65535. Enter one of the following values: • For a 1-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter gigabitethernet slot-number/ port-number. • For a Loopback interface, enter loopback number, where number is from 0 to 16383. • For a Port Channel interface, enter port-channel number, where the valid values are: C-Series and S-Series: 1 to 128 E-Series: 1 to 32 for EtherScale; 1 to 255 for TeraScale; 1 to 512 for ExaScale. • For SONET interfaces, enter the sonet slot-number/port-number. • For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter tengigabitethernet slot-number/ port-number • For a VLAN interface, enter vlan number, where number is from 1 to 4094. Configure object tracking on the routing status of an IPv4 Layer 3 interface. Usage Use this command to create an object that tracks the line-protocol state of a Layer 2 interface by Information monitoring its operational status (UP or DOWN).
