Defining MAC Based Access Control Lists The Network Security - MAC Based ACL page allows a MAC- based ACL to be defined. ACEs can be added only if the ACL is not bound to an interface. To define MAC Based ACLs, click Switch → Network Security → MAC Based ACL. Figure 7-12. Network Security - MAC Based ACL • ACL Name - Displays the user-defined MAC based ACLs. • New ACE Priority - Indicates the ACE priority, which determines which ACE is matched to a packet on a first-match basis. The possible field values are 1-2147483647. • Source Address - Matches the source MAC address to which packets are addressed to the ACE. Wildcard masks specify which bits are used and which bits are ignored. A wildcard of 0.0.0.0 indicates that all the bits are important. Configuring Device Information 263
