10. D-STAR OPERATION (ADVANCED) Automatic Reply function When a call addressed to your own call sign is received, the Automatic Reply function sounds beeps and automatically replies with your call sign. (Default: OFF) Depending on the setting, a recorded message may be transmitted with the call sign. 1. Open the Auto Reply screen. MENU » SET > DV/DD SET > Auto Reply 2. Touch an option. Example: After receiving a call from "JM1ZLK," beeps sound and the transceiver automatically sends a reply call. ••ON: Automatically replies with your own call sign. (No audio reply is sent) ••Voice: Automatically replies with your call sign and an Auto Reply message recorded on the SD card (up to 10 seconds). LIf no SD card is inserted, or no message is recorded, replies with your own call sign (No audio reply is sent). 3. To close the Auto Reply screen, push EXIT . Auto Reply icon ••Returns to the standby screen, and displays the Auto Reply icon. LWhen "ON" or "Voice" is selected, the Automatic Reply function is automatically turned OFF, when you transmit. The "TO" setting does not change, but "UR: JM1ZLK (Caller's call sign)" is displayed. NOTE: The Automatic Reply function temporarily sets the received call sign to "TO" (destination).
