9. D-STAR OPERATION (BASIC) Updating the repeater list For easy operation, a repeater list is preloaded into your transceiver. This section describes how to update the repeater list using an SD card. You can download the repeater list from the Icom website. NOTE: Before using an SD card, see Section 6 of the basic manual for details of a card. TIP: The file name "9700_USA_yymmdd" is used as an example in the following instructions. File Name: 9700_USA_yymmdd.zip Depending on the updated file date. Depending on the transceiver version. Step 1: Downloading the repeater list 1. Access the following URL to download the data files. http://www.icom.co.jp/world/support/download/ firm/index.html • The repeater list and GPS data (CSV: Comma Separated Values file), and settings file (ICF file) are contained in the downloaded ZIP file. TIP: IC-9700's repeater list is uploaded to "Firmware updates/Software Downloads" in the Icom website. L The displayed contents may differ. Step 2: Inserting the SD card into a PC Turn OFF the transceiver, then remove the SD card from the transceiver. Insert it into the SD card drive or a memory card reader* on your PC. *User supplied. L To use the SD card with the transceiver, format the card using the transceiver, even preformatted for PCs or other uses. See Section 6 of the basic manual for details. Updating the repeater list
For easy operation, a repeater list is preloaded into
your transceiver.
This section describes how to update the repeater list
using an SD card.
You can download the repeater list from the Icom
website.
NOTE:
Before using an SD card, see Section 6 of
the basic manual for details of a card.
Step 1:
Downloading the repeater list

Access the following URL to download the data
files.
firm/index.html
The repeater list and GPS data (CSV: Comma
Separated Values file), and settings file (ICF file) are
contained in the downloaded ZIP file.
Step 2: Inserting the SD card into a PC
Turn OFF the transceiver, then remove the SD card
from the transceiver. Insert it into the SD card drive or
a memory card reader* on your PC.
