Section 3 Configuration The FIRMWARE Configuration Page This page allows you to update the version of firmware installed in your WA840, as new releases are posted on the Motorola Home Networking Support web site. (You can reach this site by visiting http://www.motorola.com/homenetworking and clicking the "Support and Downloads" link.) Figure 3-6 FIRMWARE Page FIRMWARE Page Configuration Options Field Firmware Version: (DISPLAY ONLY) New Firmware: Description Shows the version of firmware currently installed in your WA840. Sets a new firmware version to be installed on your WA840. After downloading a new firmware package to your computer, and extracting the firmware (.trx) file from the package, click the Browse ... button to locate that firmware file and select it. Once you select the file, its file name will appear in this field. After confirming that the proper file name is displayed, click the Upgrade button to proceed with the update. NOTE: Your WA840 will reboot as part of installing the new firmware version. 3-72 WA840
