Chapter 7: Printer Options • If you ever need to remove the SIMM, press down on the metal tabs on the sides of the socket. • Use only 1MB, 4MB, or 16 MB industry standard 72-pin full page mode SIMMs with an access time of at least 80 NS. • If the printer is directly connected to your computer, the printer driver will see the additional RAM automatically. Information will show up on the Accessories tab of the Windows printer status monitor (after clicking on Printer Setup). • If the printer is not directly connected, use the Printer Setup on the Accessories tab to tell the driver about the additional memory. 93
