OPS (Optical Picture Stabilisation) Shake Reduction Function and Lens Focal Length ƈ The OPS function operates by acquiring the lens information such as focal length. If a lens that information is automatically acquired is used, the [ OPS] setting menu appears but can't be selected. If another type of lens is used, the lens information cannot be automatically acquired. In this case, set the focal length by using the [ OPS] menu. Turning On the OPS Function ƈ Turn on the OPS switch. When the shutter release button is pressed halfway, viewfinder and the OPS function turns on. appears in the INFORMATION ƃ Turn the Shake Reduction switch off if you will not use the Shake Reduction function. (OFF) ƃ The Shake Reduction function will not fully work (for about 2 seconds) right after turning on the camera or restoring from Auto Power Off. Wait for the Shake Reduction function to become stable before gently pressing the shutter release button to take a picture. Press the shutter release button halfway. The camera is ready to take pictures when icon appears in the viewfinder. ƃ Be sure to turn off the OPS switch when using the camera with a tripod. ƃ The Shake Reduction function automatically turns off in the following situations. Turning On the OPS Function
Turn on the OPS switch. When the shutter release button is pressed halfway,
appears in the
viewfinder and the OPS function turns on.
Turn the Shake Reduction switch off if you will not use the Shake Reduction function. (OFF)
The Shake Reduction function will not fully work (for about 2 seconds) right after turning on the
camera or restoring from Auto Power Off. Wait for the Shake Reduction function to become stable
before gently pressing the shutter release button to take a picture. Press the shutter release
button halfway. The camera is ready to take pictures when
icon appears in the viewfinder.
Be sure to turn off the OPS switch when using the camera with a tripod.
The Shake Reduction function automatically turns off in the following situations.
