The device turns on with the screen locked and indicates both its charge state and percent of charge. The battery provides up to 5 hours of continuous digital talk time. At 3% of charge capacity, there are only a few minutes of talk time left, the device sounds an audible alert, displays a critical charge icon ( ), and then turns off. Note: Long backlight settings, searching for service, vibrate mode, browser use, and other variables may reduce the battery's talk and standby times.
