106 UsingtheTV'sAdvancedFeatures Setting up the Network Setting up the Network You can select the Network Type. 1 Press the MENU button. 2 Select Network > Network Setup > Connection Type and press the OK button. 3 Press ▲/▼(arrow) buttons to select Wired or Wireless. 4 Press the OK button. v If you select Wired, see "Advanced Network Setup" on page 111. If you select Wireless, see the next section. Wireless Setup Continued AP (Access Point) connection is not guaranteed. Connection may be lost while watching TV. There are three methods for wireless setup: v Easy Setup (WPS) - if AP supports WPS, this can be used. v WPS is a standard designed to simplify the connection of wireless LAN equipment and the setup of network security features. v Assisted Setup (setup using the AP's notification information) - Network Name, Authentication, and Encryption are decided based on information from the AP. You need to manually set the Security Key. v Manual Setup - requires manually entering all settings. v In order to secure your home network, it is strongly recommended that you use a wireless access point with encryption. v When Encryption is set to None, data transmitted over a wireless LAN is not securely protected. A malicious third party may intentionally intercept and monitor transmitted data, or illegally access your TV and corrupt stored data. v Toshiba shall not be liable for any damages resulting from data transmitted over a wireless LAN being leaked, or from data corruption or falsification due to unauthorized access.

Wireless Setup
