Operation Scan to FTP (depending on model) Scan TIFF, JPEG and PDF files to an FTP server, for example, for archiving. To connect to the FTP server, you must know the name of the FTP user and the password. Note: This function is programmed by default on the F2 key. Deposit a file in an FTP server ¾ Position the document (refer to Document positioning on page 6-1). ¾ Select M 872 OK - ADVANCED FUNCTIONS / SCAN TO / SCAN TO FTP or press the F2 key then press the OK key. Note: The F2 key is configured by default with the Scan to function. (See p. 6-18 if key needs reprogramming.) ¾ Enter the FTP address of the server or select it from the directory by pressing the key. ¾ Enter the name of the FTP user (operation prohibited when the address is in the directory). ¾ Enter the password of the FTP user (operation prohibited when the address is in the directory). ¾ Press OK to confirm. ¾ Select B&W SCAN to send a document in black and white or COLOR SCAN to send a document in color. Press OK to confirm (this setting may be changed at any time during the send procedure with the color key). ¾ Enter the name of the attachment and press OK to confirm. ¾ If necessary, change the attachment format: PDF or IMAGE and press OK to confirm. Multi-contact sending For Multi-contact sending, create a group which only contains FTP addresses. Follow the procedure for sending to a single address, but select the FTP address group in the directory. 6-9

Select
M 872 OK
