3 Unpack the new toner cartridge. Place the used toner cartridge into the aluminum bag and discard it according to local regulations. Caution I Wait to unpack the toner cartridge until immediately before you install it in the MFC. If a toner cartridge is left unpacked for a long period of time, the toner life is shortened. I You can use only a genuine Brother toner cartridge (TN-430 or TN-460), which is specially formulated to ensure top print quality. Using another brand of toner cartridge may void your MFC's warranty. Warranty coverage does not apply to problems caused by the use of 3rd party Toner, 3rd party Toner Cartridge or 3rd party Drum unit. 4 Gently rock the toner cartidge from side to side five or six times to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge. 5 Remove the protective cover. 6 Insert the new toner cartridge in the drum unit until it clicks into place. Drum Unit 7 Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the blue tab from right to left several times. Return the blue tab to the Home position ( ) before reinstalling the drum unit assembly.
