4 Reconnect any cables that must be attached to the module. See the documentation that accompanied the I/O module for information about its cable connections. Server Modules Your system can include up to 10 hot-pluggable server modules. Each server module can contain up to two processors, two hard drives, six memory modules, and one daughter card. Removing a Server Module 1 Ensure that the server module's power is off. When a server module is powered off, its front-panel power indicator is amber. See Figure 1-3. 2 Press in the release latch on the inside of the upper handle. See Figure 3-11. 3 Pull out both the upper and the lower handles to eject the server module from the chassis. 4 Slide the server module out of the chassis. NOTICE: If you are permanently removing the server module, install a server module blank. Operating the system for extended periods of time without a server module blank installed can cause the system to overheat. Figure 3-11.
