6.1 Clearing Document Jams When documents have been jammed during scanning, use the following procedure to remove them from the scanner. CAUTION • Take care not to pinch your fingers inside the ADF. • The glass inside the ADF becomes hot during operation. Take care not to burn yourself. • Do not use force to remove jammed papers. Remove jammed documents after opening the ADF cover. 1. Remove all remaining documents from the scanner before removing jammed documents.
