Chapter 8 Troubleshooting Function Number Display indicates an error code (alphabetical letter plus number) alternately after the scanner is turned ON. Did you unlock the Transport Lock? (Flatbed type) YES Does the Function Number Display indicate any error after turning ON the scanner again? Turn OFF the scanner and unlock the Transport Lock, then turn ON the scanner again. NO For how to unlock the Transport Lock, refer to "Chapter 3 Connecting the Cables" in the Getting Started. The scanner operation is normal. NO YES If you cannot solve the problem after taking the measures above, check the items shown in "8.4 Before Contacting Your Dealer or Scanner Service Provider" (on page 152), and then contact the dealer where you purchased the scanner or an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider.
