Chapter 9 Operational Settings 9.5 Settings Related to Multifeed Detection Multifeed Detection A "multifeed" is a feeding error that occurs when two or more sheets in the ADF paper chute are fed simultaneously into the scanner. If you continue scanning document without knowing this multifeed error, you could skip some of important data while scanning the document. This scanner has the Multifeed Detection function to prevent such troubles. With the Multifeed Detection enabled, the scanner indicates an error message and halts the scanning immediately at a multifeed error. Note that the Multifeed Detection is not available for the range about 30 mm from the leading edge of document. 2 From the tree listing on the left, select [Device Setting 2] D [Multifeed]. 1 Start up the Software Operation Panel. Multifeed Detection
A "multifeed" is a feeding error that occurs when two or more
sheets in the ADF paper chute are fed simultaneously into the
scanner.
If you continue scanning document without knowing this multi-
feed error, you could skip some of important data while
scanning the document.
This scanner has the Multifeed Detection function to prevent
such troubles.
With the Multifeed Detection enabled, the scanner indicates
