3.7 Various settings according to your needs ■ Setting Passwords for Scanned Documents If you save scanned documents as PDF files in ScanSnap, you can set passwords for these PDF files. You cannot read the contents of a password-protected PDF file if you do not enter a password when you open the file. When scanning confidential documents or important internal documents, you can prevent important information from being leaked if you save these documents with passwords. Operation 1. Setting Passwords for Scanned Documents
If you save scanned documents as PDF files in ScanSnap, you can set passwords for these PDF
files.
You cannot read the contents of a password-protected PDF file if you do not enter a password
when you open the file.
When scanning confidential documents or important internal documents, you can prevent impor-
tant information from being leaked if you save these documents with
passwords.
Operation
1.
Right-click the ScanSnap icon
, and select "Setting...".
2.
Click the [File Option] tab, and then click the [Option] button.
ATTENTION
Check that "PDF (*.pdf)" is selected in "File Format:".
