Purpose and scope Device features The following table contains descriptions of the HP LaserJet 5200 printer features that are discussed in this STR. Device configurations might vary among countries/regions. Table 1-2 HP LaserJet 5200 printer features Models Performance Memory User interface ● Base model: HP LaserJet 5200 printer (part number Q7543A) ● HP LaserJet 5200n printer (part number Q7544A) ● HP LaserJet 5200tn printer (part number Q7545A) ● HP LaserJet 5200dtn printer (part number Q7546A) ● HP LaserJet 5200L (part number Q7547A) ● Prints up to 35 pages per minute (ppm) for Letter-size media. The HP LaserJet 5200L prints up to 25 ppm for Lettersize media. ● First page out in 10 seconds or less from the PowerSave mode. ● Sleep mode ● Wake-time setting available ● Standard base memory: ● 48 MB for the HP LaserJet 5200 printer; expandable to 512 MB ● 48 megabytes (MB) of memory for the HP LaserJet 5200L printer; expandable to 128 MB ● 64 MB for the HP LaserJet 5200n printer; expandable to 512 MB ● 64 MB for the HP LaserJet 5200tn printer; expandable to 512 MB ● 128 MB for the HP LaserJet 5200dtn printer; expandable to 512 MB ● One open EIO slot on all HP LaserJet 5200 printer models (except the HP LaserJet 5200L) ● The HP LaserJet 5200 printer uses 100-pin 133 MHz dual inline memory modules (DIMMs) that support 128 or 256 MB of random-access memory (RAM). ● Memory can be expanded to 512 MB (128 MB for the HP LaserJet 5200L) of double data-rate synchronous random access memory (DDR-SRAM) plus 32 MB of memory on the formatter board. ● Two-line back-lit graphical display on control panel ● Enhanced Help with animated graphics ● Embedded Web server to gain access to support and order supplies (network-connected printers) 4 Chapter 1 Purpose and scope ENWW
