Explanation: There is a problem with the disk drive, or the disk drive is not properly formatted. Corrective Action: Insert a diskette with the proper operating system, and press any alphanumeric key to continue. Insert system diskette in drive. Press any key to continue. Missing operating system Explanation: • there is no diskette containing the operating system in drive A, or • the hard disk drive is disabled, or not present. Corrective Action: Insert a diskette with the proper operating system, and press any alphanumeric key to continue. Explanation: You tried to start the PC but the PC could not find the operating system. Corrective Action: Run SETUP and make sure the hard disk has been correctly configured. When using the PC (operating system error): Non-system disk or disk error Not ready error reading (or writing) drive x System boot process failed. Press any key to try again.
