Interface Troubleshooting Interface Troubleshooting This section provides assistance in the unlikely event that your printer and host computer are not yet communicating. First, read the information under General Troubleshooting. Then refer to the section that addresses the host computer interface you are using. General Troubleshooting If your printer and host computer are not communicating, try these simple steps first: • Check to make sure that both the printer and host computer power cords are plugged in correctly and that both systems are turned on. • Check to make sure both ends of the interface cable are securely connected. • Again, send a file to the printer. • If you are still having problems, proceed to one of the following sections (Parallel Interface or Serial Interface), depending on which communication interface you are using. General Troubleshooting
