Tethering & portable hotspot The tethering and portable hotspot features allow you to share your device's mobile data network connection with other devices via USB, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth. Note: Touch Help under Tethering & portable hotspot settings to view information about tethering and portable hotspots, and for links to more information. USB tethering Use USB tethering to share your device's network connection with another device that connects to your device via USB cable. 1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings ➔ Wireless & networks ➔ Tethering & portable hotspot. 2. Connect the other device to your device via USB cable. 3. Touch USB tethering to turn tethering On or Off. When On, a check appears in the checkbox. Portable Wi-Fi hotspot Use portable hotspot to share your device's mobile data network connection with a PC or other device via Wi-Fi. For more information about using your device as a portable hotspot, see "Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot" on page 53. Turning Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot On or Off 1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔ Settings ➔ Wireless & networks ➔ Tethering & portable hotspot. 2. Touch Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to turn the hotspot On or Off. When on, a check appears in the checkbox. Note: Using your device as a portable hotspot consumes battery power and increases your data usage. Tethering & portable hotspot
The tethering and portable hotspot features allow you to share
your device’s mobile data network connection with other devices
via USB, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.

USB tethering
Use USB tethering to share your device’s network connection
with another device that connects to your device via USB cable.
