Adjusting and Setting With Menus KNEE Menu The KNEE menu is used to adjust the KNEE. >SETTING ON AUTO KNEE OFF POINT 090 SLOPE 00 KNEE SAT LEVEL 50 GAMMA Menu The GAMMA menu is used to adjust the gamma correction and master black. >SELECT LEVEL BLACK GAMMA BLACK STD3 00 00 00 SETTING When SETTING is set to ON, the high brightness area of the picture is compressed. SETTING is set to OFF automatically when SELECT in the GAMMA setting is set to CINE1, CINE2, CINE3, or CINE4. SETTING is set to ON automatically when CINE1, CINE2, CINE3, or CINE4 GAMMA setting is changed to STD1, STD2, STD3, or STD4. AUTO KNEE: The level of the KNEE function is set to optimum calculated value automatically by the brightness level of the picture that is shot. When this setting is set to OFF, you can set the level point that the KNEE function is activated manually independently of the brightness level of the picture that is shot. This function is not available when SETTING is set to OFF. POINT: Adjusts the knee point when AUTO KNEE is set to OFF. The adjustable range is 50 to 109 (%). This function is not available when AUTO KNEE is set to ON. SLOPE: Adjusts the slant of KNEE (degree of compression) when AUTO KNEE is set to OFF. The adjustable range is -99 to +99. This function is not available when AUTO KNEE is set to ON. KNEE SAT LEVEL: Adjusts the color condition of the higher area than the knee point. The adjustable range is 0 to 99. This function is not available when SETTING is set to OFF. SELECT Select the gamma correction curve. Select items from STD1, STD2, STD3, STD4, CINE1, CINE2, CINE3, and CINE4. STD1: The contrast of the dark area is lower than STD2, and the contrast of the middle area is higher than STD2. STD2: The contrast of the dark area is lower than STD3. STD3: Standard setting. STD4: The contrast of the dark area is higher than STD3. CINE1: The contrast of the dark area is gentle and tonal change of the bright area is clear. The picture becomes calm. CINE2: Almost the same effect as CINE1. For using the picture within 100% video signal when editing, select this setting. CINE3: The contrast of the dark and bright area is higher than CINE1 and CINE2 and tonal change of the black side is clear. CINE4: The contrast of the dark area is higher than CINE3. The contrast of the dark area is lower than STD, the contrast of the bright area is higher than STD. When CINE1, CINE2, CINE3, or CINE4 is set, KNEE SETTING is set to OFF automatically. When the CINE1, CINE2, CINE3, or CINE4 setting is changed to STD1, STD2, STD3, or STD4, KNEE SETTING is set to ON automatically. LEVEL: Adjusts the level of the gamma correction curve. The adjustable range is -99 to +99. The larger the setting level, the stronger the correction. The lower the setting level, the weaker correction. 36 GB KNEE Menu / GAMMA Menu
