PART 7 USING MS-DOS 7.5.4 Stopping a Command Execution Ctrl Scroll Lock Brea Holding the Ctr1 key and pressing the Scroll Lock ( or Break ) key stops a command while it is executing its task. After the execution has been stopped, MS-DOS displays a prompt. You can then type your next command. 7.5.5 Suspending Screen Output If information is appearing on the Ctrl screen too fast for you to read, hold the Ctr1 key down and press the Num Lock ( or Pause ) key. Then release both of them. This suspends the output of information to the screen. Nurn Press any key to continue the screen Lock output. 7-18
