PART 7 USING MS-DOS The Write protect error indicates that the write protection tab for a disk is set so that information stored on the disk cannot be written over. Make sure the disk is the one you want to use for writing information. If it is, reset the write protection tab, re-insert the disk into the drive, then type r If it is not, type a and replace the disk, and restart.
