PART 5 DISKS AND DISK DRIVES 5.7.1 Parts Refer to Figure 5-3 on the preceding page. (1) 5.25-inch Disk Drive Unit : This unit contains a 5.25-inch disk drive and a control circuit board. (2) Connector Cable : This cable connects the system unit to the drive unit. (3) Disk Clamp Lever : To remove a cardboard protector or disk, turn the clamp lever counterclockwise to open the floppy disk drive. (4) Cardboard Protector : This protects the magnetic head from vibration during shipment. Do not discard this protector and always insert it when this unit is being carried. (5) a -Shell Connector : Connect the 25-pin end of the connector cable here. (6) DC Jack : When operating the unit, connect the ac adaptor to this jack. DC output condition of the ac adaptor is as follows. DC output voltage : 18V DC output current : 600mA (7) Power ON/OFF Switch (8) "In Use" LED : This LED lights when the unit is in operation. Do not remove the disk while the LED is ON. 5-9
