Appendix D Text File Based Auto Configuration The AP ignores any improperly formatted commands and continues to check the next line. If there are any errors while processing the configuration file, the AP generates a message with the line number and reason for the first error (subsequent errors during the processing of an individual configuration file are not recorded). You can use SNMP management software to display the message by using the following MIB. Be careful to ensure the integrity of the whole AP configuration. If there are existing settings in the AP, the newly loaded configuration file will either coexist with the previous settings or replace them. You can zip each configuration file. You must use the store compression method and a .zip file extension. When zipping a configuration file, you can also add password protection using the same password that you use to log into the AP. Appendix D Text File Based Auto Configuration
NWA-3160 Series User’s Guide
352
The AP ignores any improperly formatted commands and continues to check the
next line.
If there are any errors while processing the configuration file, the AP generates a
message with the line number and reason for the first error (subsequent errors
during the processing of an individual configuration file are not recorded). You can
use SNMP management software to display the message by using the following
MIB.
The commands will be executed line by line just like if you entered them in a
console or Telnet CI session. Be careful to ensure the integrity of the whole AP
configuration. If there are existing settings in the AP, the newly loaded
configuration file will either coexist with the previous settings or replace them.
You can zip each configuration file. You must use the store compression method
and a .zip file extension. When zipping a configuration file, you can also add
password protection using the same password that you use to log into the AP.
