Chapter 4 Status Screens Table 7 Status > LAN Statistics (continued) LABEL DESCRIPTION Drops This indicates the number of outgoing packets dropped on this interface. Refresh Interval Enter the time interval for refreshing statistics in this field. Set Interval Click this button to apply the new poll interval you entered in the Refresh Interval field. Stop Click Stop to stop refreshing statistics. 4.1.5 Client List DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, RFC 2131 and RFC 2132) allows individual clients to obtain TCP/IP configuration at start-up from a server. You can configure the ZyXEL Device as a DHCP server or disable it. When configured as a server, the ZyXEL Device provides the TCP/IP configuration for the clients. If DHCP service is disabled, you must have another DHCP server on your LAN, or else the computer must be manually configured. Click Status > Client List to open the following screen. The read-only DHCP table shows current DHCP client information (including IP Address, Host Name and MAC Address) of all network clients using the ZyXEL Device's DHCP server. Figure 26 Status > Client List The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 8 Status > Client List LABEL Host Name MAC Address DESCRIPTION This indicates the computer host name. Every Ethernet device has a unique MAC (Media Access Control) address. The MAC address is assigned at the factory and consists of six pairs of hexadecimal characters, for example, 00:A0:C5:00:00:02.
