Chapter 7 Wireless LAN Device (Deny). Every Ethernet device has a unique MAC (Media Access Control) address. The MAC address is assigned at the factory and consists of six pairs of hexadecimal characters, for example, 00:A0:C5:00:00:02. You need to know the MAC addresses of the devices to configure this screen. Use this screen to change your ZyXEL Device's MAC filter settings. Click the Edit button in the Wireless LAN > General screen. The following screen displays. Figure 49 Wireless LAN > MAC Filter The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 26 Wireless LAN > MAC Filter LABEL MAC Restrict Mode DESCRIPTION Define the filter action for the list of MAC addresses in the table below. Select Disabled to turn off MAC address filtering. Select Allow to permit access to the ZyXEL Device, MAC addresses not listed will be denied access to the ZyXEL Device. # MAC Address Modify Back Add Select Deny to block access to the ZyXEL Device, MAC addresses not listed will be allowed to access the ZyXEL Device This is the index number of the MAC address. This is the MAC addresses of the wireless devices that are allowed or denied access to the ZyXEL Device. Click the Remove icon to delete the entry.
