Checking the Remaining Toner, Redistributing Toner

If you are having print quality problems, this can help you determine if the problem is caused by low toner. 1. Press Menu ( ). 2. Press Scroll ( to 3. Press Scroll ( to 4. The display shows the percentage of the remaining toner. Redistributing Toner When the toner cartridge is near the end of its life, white streaks or light print occurs. The LCD displays the warning message, Toner Low. Thoroughly shake the toner cartridge from side-to-side to distribute the toner evenly and temporarily improve print quality. This is not intended to be a long-term method of correction, but only to assist your printing needs until you obtain a new cartridge assembly. CAUTION: Do not touch the green underside of the toner cartridge. Use the handle on the cartridge to avoid touching this area. 1. Open the top cover. 2. Pull the toner cartridge out. 3. Thoroughly shake the cartridge 3-4 times to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge. NOTE: If toner comes into contact with your clothing, wipe the toner off with a dry cloth and wash your clothing in cold water. Hot water sets toner into fabric.

Redistributing Toner
When the
toner cartridge
is near the end of its life, white streaks or light print occurs. The LCD displays the warning message,

from side-to-side to distribute the toner evenly and temporarily improve print quality.
