Loading 35 mm film Follow these steps to load 35 mm positive or negative film: 1. Insert the film strips in the guide, as shown at right. The glossy (smooth) side of the film should be facing up as you insert each filmstrip into its individual holder. 2. Turn the guide over so that the glossy side of the film is facing down and place the guide on the document table, as shown. Make sure that the upper and right edges of the guide are aligned with the ruled edges of the document table. 3. Close the TPU and scan according to the instructions in your scanner driver's electronic guide. Loading 35 mm slides Follow these steps to load 35 mm slides: 1. Position the slide transparency guide on the document table, as shown. (The upper and right edges of the guide should be aligned with the ruled edges of the document table.) 2. Carefully position each slide inside the guide, making sure that the glossy (smooth) side of the film is facing down. (You can line up two columns of 35 mm slides in the larger section of the guide, and one column in the smaller section.) 3. Close the TPU and scan according to the instructions in your scanner driver's electronic guide. 48
