Maintaining Your Printer Cleaning the Printer Cleaning the Printer WARNING CAUTION To avoid an electric shock, make sure that the printer is switched OFF and unplugged before you clean it. Do not let water get inside the printer. Do not use abrasive cleaners on the printer. NOTE Any maintenance or repairs beyond those described in this chapter should be done by a qualified service technician. Cleaning the Printer Exterior and Inside the Doors s Clean the outside of the printer as required with a damp sponge or a soft cloth and a mild household cleaner such as non-abrasive liquid soap. s Over time, aerosol spray from the printheads may build up on the inside of the left and right access doors and inside the printer window.
