4048-1xx MPF gear removal 1. Remove the left side cover. See "Left side cover removal" on page 4-14. 2. Remove the inner shield. 3. Lift the solenoid arm (A) to release the gear. 4. Rotate the main motor (B) counterclockwise until the gear clears the main motor drive bracket (C) 5. Pull the latch (D) away from the shaft and slide the gear off the shaft. 4-52 Service Manual

MPF gear removal
1.
Remove the left side cover. See
“Left side cover removal” on
page 4-14
.
2.
Remove the inner shield.
3.
Lift the solenoid arm (A) to release the gear.
4.
Rotate the main motor (B) counterclockwise until the gear
clears the main motor drive bracket (C)
5.
Pull the latch (D) away from the shaft and slide the gear off the
shaft.
