Menu Description Tables SYSTEM SETTING The ____ in the Adjustable Range column indicates the preset mode. SYSTEM MODE Items/ Adjustable Data Saved Range Remarks SYSTEM 1080-59.94i For setting the system frequency and the MODE 1080-50i 480-59.94i 576-50i recording format of the unit. When this item is switched, turn "OFF" the POWER switch on the unit and then turn it "ON" again. Notes z When the remote control unit (AJ- RC10G) or the extension control unit (AG-EC4G) is connected, this item is not displayed. To switch this item, operate the main unit independently. z When the time code is in free run mode and a change is made to the SYSTEM MODE menu option, the time may not be correctly recorded. After turning on -CUF - the camera-recorder, check the time code and make a change to the setting if required. z When USB DEVICE mode is selected, no change can be made to this option. REC SIGNAL CAM SDI Select video input signals. CAM: Record the signal from the camera SDI: Records input to the SDI IN connector. Notes z After the power has been turned OFF, this setting defaults to CAM when the power is turned ON again. z If "SDI" is selected, then this will be recorded at 60i or 50i regardless of -CUF - settings in the REC FORMAT item. REC FORMAT 1080-59.94i: Select the recording codec and recording DVCPROHD/60i mode. AVC-I100/60i DVCPRO HD: AVC-I100/30PN Recorded using the DVCPRO HD AVC-I100/24PN codec. In the CAMERA MODE item, AVC-I50/60i further shooting modes can be AVC-I50/30PN selected. AVC-I50/24PN AVC-I 100: 1080-50i: AVC-I 50: DVCPROHD/50i AVC-I100/50i Recorded using the AVC-Intra100 or AVC-Intra50 codecs. With these AVC-Intra codecs, recording from AVC-I100/25PN 60i, 50i, 30PN, 24PN, and 25PN AVC-I50/50i (Native recording) can be selected. AVC-I50/25PN DVCPRO50: 480-59.94i: DVCPRO: DVCPRO50/60i DV: DVCPRO/60i These are the codecs that can be DV/60i selected in SD mode. In the 576-50i: DVCPRO50/50i CAMERA MODE item, further shooting modes can be selected. DVCPRO/50i - C U F R DV/50i Items/ Adjustable Data Saved Range Remarks CAMERA MODE (1080-59.94i /480-59.94i) 60i 30P For setting the video system for shooting. Note In AVC-Intra mode, 24PA cannot be selected. 24P 24PA (1080-50i /576-50i) 50i - C U F R 25P ASPECT 16:9 4:3 Select the aspect ratio for recording. (In SD mode only. - CUFR 16:9: Record in aspect ratio. 4:3: Record in aspect ratio. SCAN OFF Specify whether image correction is used REVERSE ON - CUFR or not, when an anamorphic lens or a lens for film applications is used. OFF: Images are not corrected. ON: Images are corrected. The vertical and horizontal orientations are inverted. SETUP 0% 7.5%A - CUFR Switch the setup. (For 480-59.94i onlyʣ 0%: Setup is switched to 0% for both the camera output and the recording. 7.5%A: Setup is switched to 7.5% for the camera output and 0% for the recording. AUDIO SMPL 16BIT RES 24BIT Select the bit-rate for the recorded audio. (Only when using the AVC-Intra codec) 16BIT: Records in 16-bit. 24BIT: Records in 24-bit. Notes z Playback clips recorded in 24 bits on a 24 bit compatible P2 device or with a P2 Viewer. Clip number is displayed in red and cannot be played on P2 devices that are not 24 bit compatible. Audio is not played back correctly on P2 Viewers that are not 24 bit compatible.
