System Settings IEEE 1394 This section describes various items of [IEEE 1394] under [Interface Settings]. [IEEE 1394] is displayed when this machine is installed with the IEEE 1394 interface board. 2 ❖ IPv4 Address When you connect the machine to a network using the IEEE 1394 interface, you must configure the IP address and subnet mask. When you select [Specify], enter the [Machine IPv4 Address] and [Sub-net Mask] as "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"("x" indicates a number). When you use the IEEE 1394 interface on a network, you cannot use the Eth- ernet interface in the same domain. To use both interfaces in the same do- main, set different values for the [Sub-net Mask].
