Message Settings The Msg Settings folder lets you define numerous message settings such as ringer types and save options. 1. In standby mode, press the MESSAGE (right) soft key ( ), then press wxyz (for Msg Setting). The following Msg Setting sub-menus appear in the display: • Text Msg - Settings that apply to text messages. • Pic Msg - Settings that apply to picture messages. • General - Settings that apply to all messages. 2. Use the navigation keys to highlight the desired sub-menu. Press the OK key to enter the sub-menu. The following options appear in the display: • Text Msg - SaveInOutbox - Elect to not save, prompt to save, or automatically save copies of sent text messages in your Outbox folder. - Insert Sign. - Elect to not insert or insert a pre-composed text signature at the end of sent text messages. - Delivery Ack - Enable or disable delivery acknowledgement of your sent text messages from your Wireless Carrier's server. - Direct View - Enable or disable automatic presentation of newly received text messages. - Signature - Compose or change the text signature to be inserted at the end of sent text messages, depending on the Insert Sign. setting. - Callback # - Enter or change the number text message recipients can call in response to your sent text messages. • Pic Msg - SaveInOutbox - Elect to not save, prompt to save, or automatically save copies of sent picture messages in your Outbox folder. - Delivery Ack - Enable or disable delivery acknowledgement of your sent picture messages from your Wireless Carrier's server. - Retrieval Mode - Elect to automatically retrieve newly received picture messages or to be prompted for retrieval. • General - Entry Mode - Lets you specify T9 Word, Alphabet, or Number as the default message text entry mode. - Quick Text - Add or change pre-composed message text for insertion into messages. - Msg Alert - Set Reminder and Alert On Call. - Auto Erase - Automatically erase first message received after memory is full. - Voice Mail # - Lets you enter the access phone number to your Voicemail account. 74
