10: DISK FORMAT [UTILITY] → [DISK] → [MENU] → 10:Format → [ENTER/YES] The disk format utility must be used to format new floppy disks, or disks that have been formatted for use with other equipment, before they can be used with the SY85. DISK`Format F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 F6 F7 F8 CS1 CS2 CS3 CS4 CS5 CS6 CS7 CS8 Press [ENTER/YES] to begin the format operation. Note that formatting a disk that already contains data will erase all data on the disk! DISK`Format Are`you`sure "Now formatting" appears on the display while the disk is being formatted, and the percent of the disk that has been formatted is shown on the lower display line.
