1:TYPE, CUTOFF FREQUENCY [VOICE] → [EDIT] → [MENU] → 3:Filter → [ENTER/YES] → [ENTER/YES] → → [MENU] → 1:Cutoff Frequency → [ENTER/YES] The SY85 features a sophisticated digital filter system that can be used to shape the timbre of the voice being edited in a number of ways. Changes in the response and cutoff frequency can be used to define the basic timbre of the voice, while EGcontrolled filter sweeps can produce a virtually unlimited range of time-based timbre variations. Lower cutoff values produce a lower cutoff frequency and higher values produce a higher cutoff frequency. The illustrations here are not available. With an LPF response (selected by the "Type" parameter, below), a lower cutoff frequency reduces the range of high frequencies passed, making the sound "darker" or "rounder." With a HPF response, a higher cutoff frequency reduces the range of low frequencies passed, making the sound "thinner" or "sharper." VOICE EDIT MODE / 3:Filter 65
