Router Port- modify window The following parameters can be set: Parameter Description VID (VLAN ID) This is the VLAN ID that, along with the VLAN Name, identifies the VLAN where the MLD multicast router is attached. VLAN Name Unit This is the name of the VLAN where the MLD multicast router is attached. Select the switch in the switch stack to be modified. Member Ports Ports on the Switch that will have a multicast router attached to them. There are four options for which to configure these ports: None - Click this option to not set these ports as router ports Static - Click this option to designate a range of ports as being connected to a multicast-enabled router. This command will ensure that all packets with this router as its destination will reach the multicast-enabled router. Forbidden - Click this option to designate a port or range of ports as being forbidden from being connected to multicast enabled routers. This ensures that these configured forbidden ports will not send out routing packets Both -Click this option to designate a port or range of ports as being both forbidden from being connected to multicast enabled routers. This ensures that these configured forbidden ports will not send out routing packets. Click Apply to implement the new settings. 147
