Middle Planes Removing the Middle Planes CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product. 1 It is recommended to turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from its electrical outlet. 2 Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 230. 3 Remove the system-board assemblies. See "Removing a System-Board Assembly" on page 149. 4 Remove the cooling-fan cage. See "Removing a Cooling Fan" on page 232. 5 Remove the screws that secure the middle-wall bracket to the chassis. See Figure 3-76. 6 Lift the middle-wall bracket out of chassis. See Figure 3-76.
