Web Interface Use the following screens to perform the same configuration using the Web Interface: • Switching > VLAN > Membership. To create VLANs and specify port participation. • Switching > VLAN > Port Settings. To specify the PVID and mode for the port. IP Subnet and MAC-Based VLANs In addition to port-based VLANs, the switch also supports VLANs that are based on the IP address or MAC address of a host. With IP subnet and MAC-based VLANs, the VLAN membership is determined by the address of the host rather than the port to which the host is attached. CLI Examples The following examples show how to associate an IP subnet with a VLAN, a specific IP address with a VLAN, and a MAC address with a VLAN. IP Subnet and MAC-Based VLANs
In addition to port-based VLANs, the switch also supports VLANs that are based on the IP address or
MAC address of a host. With IP subnet and MAC-based VLANs, the VLAN membership is determined
by the address of the host rather than the port to which the host is attached.
CLI Examples
The following examples show how to associate an IP subnet with a VLAN, a specific IP address with a
VLAN, and a MAC address with a VLAN.
Example #1: Associate an IP Subnet with a VLAN
This example shows how to configure the switch so that all hosts with IP addresses in the 192.168.25.0/24
network are members of VLAN 10.
