portLogDumpPort 2 portLogDumpPort Synopsis Displays the port log of a specified port without page breaks. portlogdumpport port_index Description Use this command to display the port log for for a single port specified by its port index number. The command displays all entries in the log without any page breaks. This command is identical to portLogShowPort, except that portLogShowPort prompts you to press Enter to display the next page. Port logs are circular log files in the switch firmware, which can save up to 65,536 entries depending on the hardware platform. Use portLogConfigShow to display the current size of the port log. Once the log has reached its maximum size, new entries displace the oldest ones. Port logs capture switch-to-device, device-to-switch, switch-to-switch, some device-to-device1, and control information If the port log is disabled while this command is executed, a warning message is displayed. Refer to portLogClear command for more information. Note The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place. Refer to chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for details. Operands This command has the following operand: port_index Displays the port log for the a single port specified by its port index number. Use switchShow for a listing of valid port index numbers.
