Testing the Scanner Now that your scanner is fully assembled, you can use its built-in self test function to see that it is working correctly before you connect it to your computer. You should perform this test to make sure the scanner was not damaged during shipping. Before running the self test, you need to connect the scanner to an electrical outlet.
