Using the Parallel Interface The Parallel Interface Cable The parallel interface cable can be the same type as the one used for a printer connection. The computer end of the cable must be a DB-25 (D-sub 25-pin) female plug, and the scanner end must be a 36-pin Centronics® type connector. Connecting the Parallel Interface Check that you have the correct parallel cable for the interface. 1. Make sure that both the scanner and computer are turned off. 2. Connect the 25-pin end of the cable to the connector on the bidirectional parallel interface board in the computer. Tighten the screws on the sides of the connector. The parallel interface cable can be the same type as the one used for

Connecting the Parallel Interface
Check that you have the correct parallel cable for the interface.
1.
Make sure that both the scanner and computer are turned off.
2.
Connect the 25-pin end of the cable to the connector on the

the screws on the sides of the connector.
