Chapter 7 Installing Additional Processors CAUTION Wear a wrist-strap and use a static-dissipating work surface connected to the chassis when handling components. Ensure the metal of the wrist strap contacts your skin. 6. Place the system board assembly on an anti-static pad. 7. Unpack the processor shipping box and check the contents against its packing list. CAUTION Do not remove the processor from its bag until you are ready to install it. Make sure the bag remains sealed. 8. Remove the processor to be added from the sealed bag. 10. Open the latches and remove the slot terminator/baffle from the next available slot as shown in Figure 7-3. 11. Open the latches on top of the processor. 73
