Installing or Replacing Parts and Accessories System Board Switches System Board Switches There are four system board switches used for conﬁguration, numbered from 1 to 4. See "System Board Diagram" on page 198 for the location of these switches. Switch Default Description 1 OFF Clear BIOS Password 2 OFF Boot Block Recovery Mode 3 OFF Clear CMOS. Reset CMOS setting to BIOS defaults. 4 OFF Safe Mode Enable. Forces processors to run at 800 MHz. Chapter 10 189
